The perfect wave **

I just watched a movie titled "The Perfect Wave." I didn't intend on watching it… I had another movie on in the background as I have been searching for social work jobs. After that movie ended, this movie was the suggestion, so I thought, yes, I keep thinking about wanting to surf. So, I watched it. Wow. It was amazing in a million ways. The climax and the ending surprised me, and yet it awakened me… it awakened and reminded me. In this next season and chapter, I could choose what it could look like. I could. I could choose safe and comfortable, I could choose that. And yet, something else lies at stake. Kingdom. This life is for a greater purpose than what I can see. It is beyond. Far, far beyond. This life is a mere blip on the plane of eternity. Having graduated college, everything that was concrete in my life is now open. Everything and everyone in my life is on the table. Every dream, every longing, every want….. If I am on mission, then I need to be engaged on that mission. It is beyond what I can see, it is beyond what I may want for my life. He is my Lord. I choose His plan. Whether that happens in Nashville or somewhere else. I want to pour my life out for Him - for Kingdom. Even if the graveyard of my dreams continually expands. He is worth it all. Love of my life, King of my heart, King above all other kings. Oh the excitement building for what is to come. I'm not playing it safe, for sure. Surf's up! *smile*
